We are looking for Head of Institutional Business in Thailand who is highly motivated and experienced Institutional Sales professional to drive business development and client engagement within the global public and private markets investment space.  

 

What You’ll Do

You will use your skills to position our products as the ultimate solution for the clients. You will have solid reporting line to country CEO and solid functional line to Managing Director, Institutional Business Development-SE Asia.   Here are some examples of the things you'll do:

Business Development & Sales Strategy

  • Drive institutional client acquisition and develop strategic relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow assets under management (AUM) across both public and private markets investment solutions.
  • Develop and execute a long-term sales strategy in alignment with Principal’s objectives.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to institutional clients, providing deep investment insights and customized solutions.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring high retention and continued engagement.
  • Conduct client presentations, coordinate investment workshops, and portfolio reviews to enhance investor understanding and confidence.

Investment Expertise & Market Knowledge

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of both public and private market investments, alternative assets, and institutional portfolio construction to support client needs.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes impacting institutional investors.
  • Work closely with investment teams to tailor bespoke private market solutions for institutional clients.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with internal teams at the local, regional and global levels, including investment management, marketing, and product development, to enhance institutional offerings.

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in institutional sales, capital raising, or investor relations within private markets, asset management, or investment banking.
  • Required Investment Consultant (IC) or Investment Planner (IP) License is a must and CFA is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of institutional portfolio management, alternative investments, and investment strategies.
  • Proven track record of raising institutional capital and deep relationships with key institutional investors.
  • Proficient in English
